This is my Familiar

My gals name is Lucky, because I am lucky to have her in my life!  She is 1/2 Timberwolf and 1/2 Siberian Husky.  Shes a real sweety and a very good protector also.  She also (as they would in a pack) sleeps with me...so need-less-to-say my bed is fuzzy all the time!!  Her sense of humor is like that of a person...that is why I chose that particular picture to put up here.

Love and Light.

Thanks to all for your comments.  Shes a little on the smaller side being female and living in the house with me and my family.  She's wonderful, but fuzzy!  and that ok...shes very protective and territorial, as she should be.  I encouraged her to keep the wildness in her personality...even tho my ex didnt like it ( he's gone and she's still here!).

I am very lucky to have her, she 9 now sad and I know the God and Goddess will be calling her home in just a few short years.

If anyone every goes to the Field Museum in Chicago, the North American Wolf I grew up with is on display there.  The vet after putting him down donated him to the museum.  I'm planning a trip soon to go and visit.

Raised with wolves?  That'd be me!

Blessings

My husband and I want a wolf very bad, but we have cats and rent tight now. We have been told if raised with cats they will accept them, but I had a german shepherd which was very aggressive towards cats and was told it was the wolf in him. Have you any knowledge in this field? Also our landlord will not allow any large animals. So we would have to wait til we had our own place.

Thank You,

Debbie

All domesticated dogs orginated from wolves. The closest relative is a Siberian Huskey...they are like first cousins.  German Shepards and all other large breed dogs have more "wolf-life instinct" in them then the little ankle bitters!  Thats why larger dogs are more feared and tend to be a little more aggressive - which tend to make landlords skiddish.

When the time is right and you are picked by one...you will know it!  BTW they pick you and you belong to their pack, not the other way around! lol

Blessings,

Lisa

BTW remember the food chain....when referring to cats and wolves.

So You Are Basically Saying In All Probability The Wolf Would Eat The Cats!!! Am I correct?

sadly yes.  Like I said remember the food chain.  If you ever get a wolf and you want to also have a cat...get them both as babies so they grow up together.  That will curb some of that basic instinct they have to go after the cat.  We have 2 cats...every once in a while they get by Lucky, and she scopes them out like "watch your step there little buddy" kinda look in her eyes.

When Lucky was a pup, I had my parakeet out and she snapped up the bird so fast even my head spun!  I opened Luckys mouth and backed the bird out.  BTW the bird is 14 now...so all went well, but it was a valuable lesson atm.

I Love My Cats Dearly, Pyewackett is my best friend!!! I couldn't chance it, so I guess I will end up getting another Rottie, my last one was excellent with cats and a wonderful companion.

Thanks For Being Honest I was Pretty Sure The Breeders Might Lie To Sell One!

I agree with everyone else. Lucky is beautiful.  I wish I could have pets but my apartment complex doesn't allow them. Take good care of her and she'll take good care of you.

She is so sweet and loving, but can be overly protective at times.  She is also fun to play with, but she is becoming old, and is very irritable at times.  Which makes her even more fun to annoy. This is one of my favorite pictures I took of her, the old hoot.  It shows how tender she is.

Luna still refuses to let me get a decent pic of her. She's a Brussels Griffon Terrier mix. I rescued her from the street almost 2 years ago. She's sweet and stubborn. We fight for alpha status. ;)

I don't know if Familiar duties would suit her well...but that's okay. She's like a daughter to me. She can do what she wants. And just like a mom, I keep thinking, "Oh, let's have another!" as I see her grow up and mature. I would have three more like her. My baby.

Here's one of my familiars. His name is Fonzie and he is polydactyl. 6-toed on his front feet and 5-toed on his back. He is the most loving cat I've owned. He truly loves to spend time with me, my husband and our 3 dogs and other cat.
