Wow, I am sorry to hear that Allen.

I hope it's OK that I share my story. It took me along time to get over it and I still feel and hole in my heart at the loose and guilt of what I did.

Me and my ex got two kittens. They where too young for flea control but the girl kitten (Willow) seemed kind off. Someone suggested that she could be off because of the fleas. So I thought it would be OK to use adult flea control, but only a bit, not all of it. I used Hartz. Well she got sick. I washed it off her and her brother. Her brother (Shadow) was fine. She got really bad off. I had to work, but I took her to the vet the next day. He gave me antibiotics and liquids to feed her. I was too ashamed to tell him about the over the counter flea control I put on her. When I got her home I feed her, probably too much. She started aspirating, and as I was running to the vet which was a block away (for I had no car) I felt her die in my arms. I cried for 9 months, and I am starting to cry now. She passed away on March 27th, 2006.

Only reason that I am posting this is to say Hartz kills. Yes, Willow was too young. But after her death, I did a lot of research. Most flea control you buy at a market is water soluble thus easily absorbed through the skin. The stuff at the vets is oil based, thus not so easily absorbed.

I still miss you Willow...
