My uncle had a stroke
by Natalie Mnemosyne Carlson - Thursday, 11 March 2010, 11:42 PM

Calling all faiths and paths! We need love, healing, and guidance sent our way. My uncle suffered a stroke and is still in the ICU. He has already had a remarkable recovery considering the severity of the hemorrhage in his cerebellum. We are a slightly interfaith family - though strongly Christian - as my immediate family are all Christian, I am (discretely/secretly) pagan, my uncle is basically an atheist, and his wife, my beloved aunt, is an episcopalian priest. We need all the love we can get to help us through this. Although he has survived his surgery, we are not yet out of the woods. The surgeon is basically watching and waiting to see how my uncle continues to heal. They don't want to make any decisions until they see what happens. He was not expected to live initially - so his current state (awake, alert, motor skills, no severe paralysis, personality, sense of humor, talking in complete sentences, etc.) is no small miracle. I would greatly appreciate your love, support, and kind thoughts. Love to you all.

Thank you. We are all still in shock, but he is thankfully still progressing towards healing. We are all grateful that he is alive. He stood up yesterday, amazingly, and he is now out of the ICU! I appreciate the love and kindness that you have sent toward us. The universe is certainly responding to it. The doctors are not even taking credit for this miracle. I so hope that he continues to heal. We love him very much, and we have already had so many deaths in the family. Thank you again.

Natalie I am so sorry to hear this news; however I am relieved to hear that his recovery is progressing at a rapid pace.  It's always terrifying to hear of a loved one suffering a trauma such as this but I have faith that he will come out of this okay.

Many energies of blessings, healing and light coming your way... as I will be sure to include you in my thoughts and prayers when celebrating this gorgeous Ostera holiday that is just right around the corner.

Take Care,

Lady Angel Whisperer

Update:
Thank you to all who thought of me and my family through this difficult time. I am so thrilled to tell you that he is still continuing to recover and thrive! He is walking, talking, eating, breathing on his own now, has improved cognitive responses, a little paralysis but not much...and continues to astound us with his level of recovery. It will take a long time to get him back to a state of health and stability, but we have high hopes now that he has made it this far. It will be a hard road, but we believe he can do it. Thank you so much everyone. ♥
